The End?
Thanks to my girlfriend I don't think I will be posting here anymore. Why? Well. I'll tell you why.
The PC was running slow yesterday so for some unknown reason she deceided to re-boot it back to factory settings! All my music has now gone and I don't have enough time to rip/burn records and cds anymore as I have a full time evening job and look after my daughter during the day.
If anyone out there thinks I can recover all my music will you please drop me a line and help me out!

1.) What ever you do: don't write anything new to your harddisc. As far as I know is much data even after a "format c:" with some tools recoverable... maybe expect for the data that is overwritten by the "setting do factory-defaults" (what ever that is... new install from recovery-partition?).
2.) Look (with another pc) for a good tool to recover the data. I think there are good tools/Linux Live-CDs for that... even for free (maybe http://www.grml.org will do).

4.) Make Backups in the future
5a.) Get a PC for your girlfriend
5b.) Get a new girlfriend (just kidding ;-))

Will try what you suggested if Dan's idea doesn't work. I do make back ups on my external hard-drive but some arsehole stole it from my bag at work!
As for a new girlfriend.... I can't. she is the mother of my little girl. (ww72)
